Château La Chapelle Lescours

Château La Chapelle Lescours

The tradition brings us back in the Middle Ages when Lord of Lescours offered to the Monks of the bishop’s palace (Chateau L’Évêché) the right to cultivate a vineyard around the Chapel for their personal use. Today Chateau La Chapelle Lescours is a modern Grand Cru which perpetuates the tradition of Saint Emilion greatest wines.

Located in the locality of the same name, La Chapelle Lescours gave its name to a powerful and straight wine. The first vineyards were planted by the priests who came to establish themselves on the property of Lord de Lescours in the Middle Ages.

Formerly, this property extended from the Dordogne river to Château Ausone.

On an clay-sandy soil, we immortalize the tradition of Saint Emilion's wines in the same municipality which saw the first economy of Saint Emilion.
